Membership

 

Scouting is a Youth movement. This can’t run without adult leaders. So in Scouting there are two types of membership.

 

The youth members (boys and girls) are called as "SCOUT".

 

There are two types of adult members in scouting movements, Warranted & Non-warranted.

 

Scouting is open to all young peoples regardless sex, race, religion or cast. As per age group SCOUTING has THREE sections:


1. Cub: 6+ to 11 years


2. Scout: 11+ to 17 years


3. Rover: 17+ to 25 years


Regardless age all young members of Scout Movement are called as "SCOUT".

The adult leaders are called as “SCOUTER”.

For Cub section:           Do your best

For Scout section:        Be prepared

For Rover section:        Service 

 

Scout Promise

 

On my honour I promise that, I will do my best to do my duty
- To God and my country, 
- To help other people at all times and
- To obey the Scout law.

 

Scout Law

 

There are Seven Scout laws:

1. A Scout's honour is to be trusted.
2. A Scout is a friend to all.
3. A Scout is courteous and obedient.
4. A Scout is kind to animals.
5. A Scout is cheerful at all times.
6. A Scout is thrifty.
7. A Scout is clean in thought, word and deed.

Rover Uniform
